UTSA is off to a hot start after trouncing Southern by a score of 51-17. The Roadrunners look to start the 2017 season 3-0 tomorrow versus Texas State.
Jared Kalmus - UnderdogDynasty.com - Record (1-1)
On paper UTSA should win this game going away. The Bobcats are not very talented, extremely young, and are still trying to learn how to win after a rough couple of years. UTSA is on a roll right now after picking up their first ever P5 win in week one and then turning around and setting program records on both sides of the ball in week two.
Will things be so lopsided on the field come Saturday? I'm not so sure. It's always so tough to predict how rivalry games will play out, especially when one team has nothing left to lose. Expect Texas State to come out inspired and reach deep into the playbook to try to get some easy yardage.
That being said, I still think UTSA's depth and sheer talent advantage (especially in the trenches) will ultimately win the day. While the Bobcats might put up a fight to start the game, I still see the Roadrunners breathing easy in the fourth quarter.
