The reverence and love in the gymnasium was felt for Judson Safety Myles Davis by all in attendance as his Head Coach Mark Soto, heaped praises on Davis for not only Myles’s playing abilities but the who he was off the field. “Myles can do it all on the field and has done it! He has been one of the best defensive backs to come through Judson and at this point in high school is just as good and better than those in the NFL right now when they were his age. But even more he is a man of excellent character off the field and always has a great attitude. He gets being a good person will get him further than his athleticism will.” Soto spoke.

Myles’s mother was moved by Coach Soto’s words, “Myles has been blessed with a great group of men in his life with the coaches who have been around during every phase of his life and development up to this day. For that I am very thankful!” She said.

“Myles has shown dedication and focus throughout it all! The 4:30-5:30 morning wake up alarms for working out or practice and camps and games. I could not be prouder of him.” She finished.

Myles after the ceremony was all smiles and excitement. “Man, I am ready to get to College Station. It is time to work!” Davis said smiling. His final schools were Texas and Texas A&M battling for his commitment. “I am still good with Coach Gideon at Texas; we spoke last week. He respects my decision, so we cool.” Davis mentioned. With all the movement in the current recruiting class for Texas A&M and the actual rostered players, the Aggies were able to sustain and keep Myles’s commitment. “Yeah, these last 9 days have been a little tight with everything going on. But my position coach is there (Texas A&M) and the vision for me by the staff in position has not shifted so I am good and solid in my decision.” Davis finished.

Myles is planning to get to College Station as fast as possible “I wanted to get up there before the end of December but that is not looking likely. It is going to be in the near future though for sure!” Davis said.

- He will be visiting College Station this weekend -

Myles has been a beast the last two seasons for the Judson Rockets and impactful in all phases of the game to get Judson back into the playoffs the past two seasons. He has defensive, offensive, and special teams scores this year. He is an intelligent, physical, fast, powerful, and impactful presence and will continue to be a dude in College Station.
