JR - Josh Oatis, Brandon Rolfe

SO -

FR - Cedric Claiborne

Analysis: One thing that can be said about the edge of the Roadrunner offensive line is that they are senior laden. Three of the six scholarship offensive tackles are seniors. The rest are two juniors and a freshman. All six should figure to see time on the field this season at either the left or the right side of the line.

Josh Dunlop - Since he came to UTSA in the spring of 2017 Dunlop has made a name for himself on the Roadrunner offensive line. He has been consistent in his two years at UTSA, starting all 12 games last season at right tackle and seven of the 11 games played in 2017. He also appeared in the four other games he didn't start in 2017. As long as he stays healthy in fall camp he should be the number one starter for the 2019 season.

Treyvion Shannon - Shannon arrived at UTSA prior to last season and started all 12 games, mostly at left tackle. He started at right guard in the games against Texas State and UTEP. The versatility to start multiple positions helped Shannon in 2018 and it stands to reason it will help him in 2019 as Frank Wilson has shown in the past that he is willing to move his offensive linemen from one position to another

Jalyn Galmore - Galmore had his 2018 season cut short by a season ending injury in the UTEP game. Before the injury he had started the first five games at left tackle. His experience at UTSA might be short but he has the talent to make it with the Roadrunners. Before coming to UTSA he played two years at Itawamba Community College in Mississippi. Galmore played in 15 games for the Indians and was named second team all-state in his final season there.

Josh Oatis - Oatis is entering his third season as a Roadrunner after redshirting in the 2016 season. In 2017 Oatis appeared in only one game, the win over Texas State. He saw more playing time in 2018 as he appeared in nine games, mostly on the special teams unit. Oatis should be in line for more action on the offensive line this season.

Brandon Rolfe - Rolfe is entering his first season as a member of the Roadrunners. This is his third different college. Rolfe played last season at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa and the year before at New Mexico Military Institute. Despite his travels Rolfe is a talented lineman and should factor into the Roadrunners edge protection.

Cedric Claiborne - Claiborne is the only freshman in the group of offensive tackles. He comes from a state powerhouse high school, Spring Westfield, outside of Houston. The fall camp will give Claiborne a chance to learn what it takes to protect the edge at the college level.

Prediction: The competition for starting tackle will likely consume most of the fall camp. At this point it is anyone's guess as to who will be the starters on August 31. Regardless of who gets the starting job, all six will get playing time over the course of the 2019 season.
