UTSA hits the road for the final time this season looking to avoid the first 0-6 road record in program history. They face an Army team that just got smacked around Yankee Stadium like a fastball by Notre Dame last weekend. That loss coupled with knowing they'll play Tulane next Saturday for the conference championship might mean Army is thinking of other things and not UTSA. The Roadrunners can't rely on just that though. They will have to want this one as much or more than Army does. Do the 2024 Roadrunners want to make the sad history of being the first to go 0-6 on the road. I don't think they do.

The Roadrunners travel to beautiful West Point, New York to face off against the Army Black Knights. It should be a nice sunny day (if a bit cold) at Michie Stadium.

UTSA may struggle against a triple option offense, in the cold, far from home. All three of those variables have historically not been kind to UTSA’s winning ways. And yet, I almost can’t shake the feeling that the Roadrunners will pull off the upset victory for a fairy-tale ending to the 2024 regular season. I’m hedging my prediction towards Army, but wow, wouldn’t a blue & orange road win be a stunning finale for Jeff Traylor’s squad.

Army and UTSA have developed quite an interesting series over the past five years, with UTSA's only win coming at West Point. In my head, this is a rivalry. These are two very hard-nosed teams, and I couldn't think of a better way to end the 2024 regular season. Ultimately, I believe Saturday's game will come down to turnovers and penalties. Clean football will be the true test!

UTSA wraps up the regular season with a trip to West Point to take on Army. The Roadrunners (6-5, 4-3 American Athletic Conference) have won their last three games, while the Black Knights (9-1, 7-0 AAC) are coming off a 49-14 loss at Notre Dame. UTSA has found its running game the past two weeks as they have rushed for 300 yards both times, while Army is averaging 322 rushing yards per game. If the Roadrunners can keep the Army rushing attack in check they have a chance to pick up their first road victory of the season.

As UTSA has begun to seize moments and show their identity on offense, the defense is lagging behind. The defense has made splash plays during the win streak but consistency and confidence aren’t words I can use for their performances. The defense must travel and I look forward to a clean slate next season, but as of now they are who they are and it will cost them against a really good Army squad.

After all the ups and downs of this season the Roadrunners seem to be in playing their best football of the year. While there are no excuses for some of their loses a win tomorrow will do a lot for changing the narrative of the 2024 season. It would be very UTSA for them to go into West Point and beat a very good Army team. Give me the Roadrunners in a close one.
