Elijah Newell commits to Roadrunners
The recruiting process can be crazy at times. It can be filled with highs and lows. It can be filled with plenty of offers for some and not for others. It was the latter for Maumelle (AR) two-star defensive back Elijah Newell, who is now a UTSA Roadrunner. Following the 2023 season, he was named the district's Defensive MVP and a 5A All-State selection. BirdsUp caught up with him to discuss his commitment.
