The Roadrunner offense tends to get a lot of the accolades and attention but let's not forget about the defense. While they lost some key pieces in cornerback Corey Mayfield Jr, safety Clifford Chattman, linebacker Trevor Harmanson and defensive lineman Lamonte McDougle they return a ton of talent.
The defense will be anchored by the front seven. The depth along the defensive line will be crucial in a league with a ton more talent. As fans have learned when going against the Texas' and Houston's of the world depth is imperative and will be the difference in a lot of games this season. There's some question marks at linebacker, but the upside there is huge.
The secondary has a good group of veterans coming back but who can step up behind them? While the front seven can go two or three deep in spots the secondary has some unproven names.
