The roller coaster of 2023 is nearing its conclusion for UTSA's football Roadrunners. The final turn will be in the Frisco Bowl against Marshall. UTSA has not won in its four previous bowl trips but this year feels different. The Roadrunners will have nearly everybody available to play, most importantly Frank Harris and Rashad Wisdom. Those two and the other 16 seniors will get the Roadrunners over the hump and into the station of bowl victory by beating Marshall.

One more ride before we can all look at this era in the rearview mirror... it's only fitting that it is a bowl game and that UTSA has never left while holding up one of those trophies. Marshall takes on UTSA in the ever-popular Frisco Bowl—an unlikely reunion of C-USA teammates in a familiar place. While the Thundering Herd is dealing with some demons of their own, that being their starting quarterback left to the transfer portal. Marshall is looking to close the final chapter of their year on a bright note. Meanwhile, UTSA is looking to rewrite the narrative of their own bowl game history. This will mark their fourth straight trip to a bowl game in the Traylor era, and possibly their first win. The gang is all here. Frank Harris and company have a ticket to punch and the only thing stopping them is themselves. I'll take the Roadrunners heading back home with a win.

As an alum who follows the football program, there’s something I never want to do: take achievement for granted. Whether that’s team achievement or the success, dedication, and effort of an individual player, it’s easy to forget that the good times aren’t automatic. Here we are, in the midst of a multi-year stretch of achievement that would previously been unfathomable, and I ask you to take a step back and revel in the simple pleasure of that success — no matter the outside factors that can distract from the fact that this is, after all, supposed to be enjoyed.

A short and sweet prediction, then, for the 2023 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl featuring UTSA and Marshall. If the Roadrunner defense performs well, UTSA will win. It’s maybe not fair to ask that unit to bail out the team once again, but I think particularly in the first half they’ll need to carry the load while the UTSA offense finds its footing.

The UTSA Roadrunners look to win their first bowl game in program history tonight against Marshall in Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl. The Roadrunners are 0-4 in previous bowl games, but they will get their first one tonight. I look for Frank Harris to have a huge night in his final game for UTSA, as a bowl victory is the only thing missing from his fantastic time as a Roadrunner. The defense will miss the AAC Defensive Player of the Year, Trey Moore, but they will find a way to fill that void. The Roadrunners will finally get that elusive bowl win tonight in Frisco.

I cannot see the ride of Traylor with Harris under center ending negatively. There can be so much said about the ride with this marriage of Head Coach and Quarterback. Taking emotion out of the decision and these teams being who they are , I believe UTSA depth will be too much at the skill positions. Give me one last exciting Roadrunner win.

The last ride for some iconic Roadrunners tonight in Frisco. This is arguably UTSA's best chance at a bowl win versus a Marshall team that has had a tumultuous few weeks. No matter who suits up tonight I think the Roadrunners will take this one. The defense has been playing well and although Trey Moore will be missed I think the defensive line has enough to keep Marshall at arms length. If the offense can lean on the running game it will wear down the Herd. While the line seems a bit steep to me I think the Roadrunners take it.
