Earlier this week, I chatted with 3-star defensive tackle Tyrell Thompson about his recruitment. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound mauler was a standout at Copperas Cove High School, where he signed a scholarship to play for the University of Houston. Ultimately, Thompson failed to meet the NCAA’s eligibility requirements, which led him to play at Blinn Community College and Trinity Valley Community College, before eventually committing to UTSA.
