What is crazy about the schedule this year is that this matchup has been arranged since the beginning of the season. For UTSA in their first year in the AAC, many would say they've exceeded expectations... but the Roadrunners themselves have their eyes set on bigger fish. On the flip side, Tulane has been on a path of reckoning this season, something that only a few teams accomplish throughout their entire existence of football. With a game where everything is on the line, both teams will need to execute perfect football if they want to have a shot in the AAC Championship game. Tulane is known for the hard-nosed defense and their stud of a quarterback, so UTSA will need to prove their own defense can handle the Green Wave. UTSA is running on all cylinders on offense this time of the year and does a good job at generating turnovers defensively, so I really expect this matchup to be close, and down the wire. In the end, there can only be one team heading to the AAC Championship, and we will find out on Black Friday,

We finally get to the game everyone has had circled for months. UTSA at Tulane with a spot in the conference championship game on the line. Harris v. Pratt. Traylor v. Fritz. Two good teams going at it on national TV on Black Friday. What better way to avoid the stores than to tune in for this one. Both teams have gotten to their 7-0 conference marks in different ways. Tulane plays close games. UTSA has been able to bludgeon their way through the conference. This one will be close but UTSA will find a way to dethrone the Green Wave and earn a spot in the conference championship game.

Saddle up folks. UTSA travels to New Orleans for a season-ending matchup against ranked Tulane in a finish that couldn't have been better scripted if they wrote it. Here you have two undefeated teams on national TV where the stakes are winner-take-all.

For UTSA to win, the Roadrunners will need to have their best game of the season. It sounds overly simple, but that's the long and short of it. Tulane is an excellent team, and will prove to be a step above any previous conference opponent even without certain weapons like leading WRs Lawrence Keys and Jha'Quan Jackson.

The last (and only) time Tulane lost this season was way back on September 9th against Ole Miss. Can UTSA make it two losses and knock them out of the championship? Absolutely. Will they? That's harder to say. Tune into ABC at 2:30 PM CST.

UTSA is the hotter team of these 2 squads by bigger win margins and common opponent victory margins. With everything on the table there’s no other team in this conference who’s more prepared than UTSA. I’m going with Frank Harris and this receiver corps to do whats needed to leave the N. O. with a W.

UTSA 42, Tulane 37

The UTSA Roadrunners keep on winning. Last week, they defeated USF to extend their winning streak to seven and are now (8-3, 7-0). Tulane is (10-1, 7-0). Their only loss was in week two to Ole Miss, but they have had a couple of close calls against both Rice and Tulsa. This game is enormous, as the winner will play for the AAC championship next week. I look for Frank Harris to have another big game this week. We will not see another performance like we saw against the Bulls last week when he passed for 411 yards, ran for 112 more, and had six total touchdowns. The Roadrunners will pull off the upset and play for the AAC championship next week.

It all comes down to this one. I think if you ask any UTSA fan at the beginning of the season if they were to take a game versus Tulane for a chance at the conference championship as a successful season they’d tell you yes. Fan expectations might have blown past that at this point but regardless getting to this point after the month of September is impressive.

This Tulane team mirrors UTSA quite a bit. They have a star quarterback and good running game and a stingy defense. This one will come to execution. Who will be able to execute their game plan at a higher level. Unfortunately for UTSA I think the road at a AAC title will end on Black Friday.
