Another season is coming to a close, which always leaves me with astonishment of how fast it all goes by. South Florida makes their first trip to the Alamodome Friday night and is walking into a very special Senior Night for UTSA. The end of a dominant and special era.

UTSA is facing a tough USF squad scratching their way to a possible bowl game. Also, The Roadrunners will be facing a team with a .500 winning percentage for the first time since Week 4 against Tennessee. While the Roadrunners are streaking at an opportune time of the season, this matchup is going to be a test for both teams. USF is coming off a balanced team win last week, and is looking to ruin UTSA’s last home game of the season. I see this game being a back and forth battle, winding down to who will show up in the 4th quarter.

Those across America who tune into ESPN 2 at 8 p.m. CST on Friday night will get to see the final regular season home game for a whole gaggle of Roadrunner seniors. Facing the Roadrunners is a South Florida team that is looking to get to six wins for the first time in five years. The Bulls have shown improvement under first year head coach Alex Golesh and could be a contender in the American in the coming years. On Friday they will face the challenge of knocking off the Roadrunners in the Alamodome on senior night. The game will be close and could keep the nation entertained but UTSA will do what it has to do in order to keep dreams of a conference championship alive.

Each successive week, UTSA QB Frank Harris has started to look more and more like the Frank Harris of years past. His stat line the last few games doesn’t quite match, but in my view, that’s more an indication of Frank and the staff placing great trust in the run game and other pieces of the offense rather than an indication of anything deficient within the quarterback position. And as Harris regained health, those other players (including many underclassmen) stepped up — advancing UTSA to 6-0 in conference, the only stat that really matters.

It’s a passing of the torch, in other words, a fitting conclusion for these incredible seniors like Harris and Wisdom who have elevated the program to an unprecedented standard. All that remains is a couple more games, where an AP / CFP Top 25 win, a bowl win, and God willing a third straight championship are all available for the taking. One at a time.

I love this game for the opportunity it presents for the Roadrunners. You have a great offense coming to town in South Florida, also with a defense that will make the game entertaining for the fans in attendance as well. With this being the final (scheduled) home game for the senior Roadrunners I think every player's talent will be on display. I take the home team to win, and a lot.

The UTSA Roadrunners won again, extending their winning streak to six games. UTSA (7-3, 6-0) will now prepare to welcome the USF Bulls (5-5, 3-3) to the Alamodome Friday night for their home finale. This game will feature two teams that can score some points, as both offenses average more than 30 points per game. However, the Bulls also give up 36 points per game. This will be a high-scoring game, with the Roadrunners winning big and extending their winning streak, setting up next weekend's season finale at Tulane.

This seems like the end of an era for this version of the Roadrunners in the Alamodome. This could and most likely will be Frank Harris' last game in the Alamodome. Without making this 1,000 words I just don't see how Harris, Wisdom and the rest of the seniors have a let down game this Friday. The Roadrunners are playing their best football right now. They roll the Bulls on Friday night.
