McDonald’s got the Big Mac. UTSA has the big Mc! As in Devin McCuin. The true freshman wide receiver has been steadily featured more and more in the Roadrunners offense. With 14 receptions thus far and showing blazing speed as well as ability to move the chains and earning Frank Harris’ trust with his work ethic, McCuin will be a key for the UTSA offense to give UAB another weapon to worry about.
Showtime Harris
UAB seemingly always brings out the best in quarterback Frank Harris. He’s averaging 304 yard passing 4 touchdowns and 56 yards rushing with no Interceptions in his career starts against UAB. While it’s a new conference an old foe should summon some entertaining football this weekend and I expect Harris to be ready and show out!
3rd and Gone
The Roadrunners defense must get UAB off the field on 3rd down. In the last 5 games UAB is 40.9% on 3rd downs at 27/66. Keep UAB behind the sticks and in long down and distance to show improvement and regain some confidence on defensive side of the ball. Teams are converting at 46.7% on third down against UTSA this season. It will be key to improve on that stat against the Blazers as this is traditionally a close game.
